ECG Announces Planned Maintenance in Accra West Region

Residents in parts of Accra West will experience a temporary power outage on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, as the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) undertakes planned maintenance works.

According to a public notice issued by ECG, the exercise is scheduled to run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is aimed at improving service delivery across the region.

The affected areas include Fadama, Kwashieman, Nyamejye, Darkuman, Abeka, Lapaz, Tabora, Race Course, Kwashiebu, Chantan, Hansonic, Dansoman Junction, Mallam Junction, McCarthy, Choice, Sampa Valley, Alogboshie, Achimota Neoplan, Benjilo, Manhean, Oduman, and surrounding communities.

ECG expressed regret for the inconvenience the outage may cause and assured customers that the maintenance is part of ongoing efforts to enhance reliability of electricity supply.

The company encouraged residents to take note of the schedule and make the necessary arrangements during the period of interruption.
