Minister Jinapor Commissions Ghana’s First CNG Facility

Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, has joined Tetracore Gas Ghana Limited to commission the country’s first-ever Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) facility.

The commissioning, announced in a post by the Minister, marks a decisive step toward cleaner, more affordable, and reliable energy for Ghana.

Dr Jinapor noted that the project would reduce dependence on expensive liquid fuels while supporting industrial growth and job creation. He commended Tetracore Gas Ghana Limited for their vision and commitment to advancing Ghana’s energy sector.

The Minister reaffirmed Government’s support for expanding gas supply and strengthening energy infrastructure in line with President John Dramani Mahama’s Gas-to-Power Policy. He emphasized that the commissioning of the CNG facility represents a milestone in Ghana’s transition to sustainable energy solutions.
