The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has promoted thirty-five police officers in recognition of their exceptional role in the arrest of suspects involved in the high-profile Adabraka gold robbery.
The promotions, announced on Thursday, honour personnel who displayed professionalism, dedication, and teamwork during operations that led to the capture of suspects linked to the daylight robbery at a jewellery shop in Adabraka in November 2024.
At a brief ceremony, Mr Yohuno, joined by members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), congratulated the officers and urged them to view the elevation as a call to greater responsibility. He charged them to demonstrate leadership and accountability in the discharge of their duties, while continuing to work hard to safeguard public safety.
The Ghana Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to recognising merit and rewarding excellence as part of efforts to strengthen professionalism, boost morale, and enhance effective policing across the country.
