H.E. Sabah Zita Benson Meets Ghanaian Alumni Association-UK

 Ghana’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, H.E. Mrs Sabah Zita Benson, has welcomed the Ghanaian Alumni Association-UK, led by Chairman Ed Andrews, in a meeting that underscored the role of alumni networks in national development.

The Association, which brings together thirty-three alumni groups from secondary and tertiary institutions in Ghana, is dedicated to promoting Ghana’s image abroad, fostering unity among Ghanaian professionals, and contributing practically to the country’s progress.

During the engagement, discussions centred on education and development, with a particular focus on infrastructure and maintenance within Ghana’s educational institutions. H.E. Benson commended the Association for its sustained support to their alma maters and briefed the delegation on ongoing improvements in the education sector.

Joining virtually, Mr Paul Adjei, Administrator of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), outlined how Government continues to support infrastructural development across all levels of education.

In a related intervention, a representative of Labone Senior High School expressed gratitude to Government for swiftly addressing reports of inadequate seating for students, noting the positive impact of timely action on learning conditions.

The meeting highlighted the importance of alumni networks in strengthening Ghana’s educational foundations and reaffirmed Government’s commitment to partnering with stakeholders to enhance teaching and learning nationwide.
