Bawumia Congratulates Newly Elected NPP National Executives

Former Vice President and 2028 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has congratulated the party’s newly elected national executives following elections held in Kumasi.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Dr Bawumia described the elections as the successful completion of the reorganisation of the party ahead of the 2028 general election.

According to him, the electoral process was conducted in an atmosphere of peace and transparency, and the outcome reflected the wishes of delegates of the party.

Dr Bawumia expressed confidence in the newly elected leadership and said party supporters expected the executive body, led by John Boadu, to begin preparations towards securing victory for the NPP in the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections.

He pledged his full support to the new leadership and stressed the need for an inclusive approach that would harness the talents and contributions of all members of the party.

“Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on his part has committed to providing the necessary support to the new leadership to run an inclusive system that allows all the talents in the party to be harnessed for victory in 2028,” the statement said.

The former Vice President further called for unity within the party, emphasising that every capable member should be given the opportunity to contribute to the NPP’s campaign efforts irrespective of previous internal contests.

“In victory or in defeat, no talent should be left out in the 2028 campaign,” he stated.

The statement was issued by the Communications Directorate of the Office of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and underscored the importance of collective effort and party cohesion as the NPP positions itself for the next electoral cycle.

The election of new national executives is expected to mark the beginning of a renewed organisational drive by the party as it seeks to strengthen its structures and prepare for the 2028 elections.
