The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has strongly denied claims that it owes the Bank of Ghana an unpaid overdraft of GHS1 billion, describing the allegation as “false and malicious.”
In a statement signed by Prince Kwame Minkah, Media Relations Officer, GoldBod insisted that it has never contracted any loan, overdraft, or debt instrument from the Bank of Ghana or any financial institution since its establishment.
“The claim attributed to Dr. Gideon Boako is contrived and should be treated with utmost contempt,” the release stated, demanding an unequivocal retraction and apology from the Member of Parliament for Tano South.
