OSP’s Operation Recover All Loot: Cybersecurity, Buffer Stock, Samreboi Cases In Court This Week

 The Office of the Special Prosecutor’s (OSP) “Operation Recover All Loot” (ORAL) cases are set to see significant activity in court this week, with hearings scheduled in the cybersecurity software scandal, the Buffer Stock case and the Samreboi illegal mining case.

The cross-examination of the fourth prosecution witness in the case of the Republic versus Kwabena Adu Boahene and two others, popularly known as the cybersecurity software scandal, is expected to be completed at the Specialised Court 1 on Monday, August 17, at 9:30am.

Later in the day, at 12:00pm, the same court will hear legal arguments in the case of the Republic versus Hanan Abdul-Wahab Aludiba and another, the Buffer Stock case. The arguments relate to the effect of an application for stay of proceedings pending appeal, which has been filed at the Court of Appeal.

On Wednesday, August 19, at 9:00am, Criminal Court 4 will hear a motion for bail pending appeal in the case of the Republic versus Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, and two others, in the concluded Samreboi illegal mining case.
