The Ministry of Defence has officially welcomed the newly appointed Minister for Defence, Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, following his assumption of duty as the substantive Minister responsible for the Ministry.

As part of activities to mark his first day in office, a Guard of Honour was mounted to formally receive the Minister. Hon. Adjei later exchanged pleasantries with management and staff of the Ministry, including the Chief Director, Mr Emmanuel Kartey, the Chief of the Defence Staff, Lieutenant General William Agyapong, and the Service Chiefs.

The ceremony provided an opportunity for the Minister to interact with officials and staff as he began his tenure. The warm reception underscored the Ministry’s commitment to working collaboratively with Hon. Adjei in the discharge of his mandate, ensuring continuity and effective leadership in Ghana’s defence sector.
