President Mahama Meets Wisconsin Governor on Trade Mission

President John Dramani Mahama today held talks with Governor Tony Evers of Wisconsin State, USA, at the Jubilee House, as part of the Governor’s trade mission to Accra.

The visit underscores growing international confidence in Ghana’s economy following the successful completion of the IMF programme. President Mahama used the occasion to outline key government initiatives, including the 24‑Hour Economy programme and the newly established Accelerated Export Development Advisory Committee, both designed to position Ghana as a competitive, export‑driven economy.

The President also expressed keen interest in exploring agricultural partnerships and wider business opportunities with Wisconsin State.

Governor Evers, who is leading a business delegation, reaffirmed his commitment to building global partnerships and promoting Wisconsin as a prime destination for business growth.

Officials say the engagement reflects Ghana’s readiness to attract investment and build lasting partnerships that drive shared prosperity.
