The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has directed Member of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong to immediately retract and apologize for recent comments he made regarding the Afari Military Hospital.
In a statement issued by the party’s headquarters in Accra, the NPP described the remarks as “unfortunate,” warning that they could undermine the image of the Minority in Parliament and bring the party into disrepute. The party emphasized that public statements by its members must reflect unity, responsibility, and respect for party institutions.

Signed by Justin Kodua Frimpong, the NPP’s General Secretary, the release urged Agyapong to withdraw his comments and issue an unqualified apology without delay. It further cautioned that failure to comply could result in the matter being referred to the party’s Disciplinary Committee for appropriate action in line with its constitution and regulations.
“The NPP remains committed to protecting its image and ensuring discipline among its members,” the statement concluded.
The directive underscores the party’s ongoing efforts to maintain internal cohesion and uphold its public reputation amid heightened scrutiny of political discourse.
