Foreign Affairs Ministry Secures Jobs for Evacuees from South Africa

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced a nationwide initiative to provide employment opportunities for Ghanaian nationals being evacuated from South Africa in the wake of recent xenophobic attacks.

In a public statement, the ministry invited Ghanaian CEOs and entrepreneurs to partner in offering jobs to returnees. The Delivery Unit, led by Ambassador Alexander Grant Ntrakwa, is coordinating the effort and can be reached on 056 1108 000.

So far, 120 job placements have been secured through the support of patriotic business owners. The ministry described the project as a noble undertaking aimed at reintegrating affected citizens into the Ghanaian economy.

The announcement underscores government’s commitment to safeguarding the welfare of its nationals abroad and ensuring their smooth resettlement at home.

“We value and cherish all our citizens,” the ministry emphasized, urging more business leaders to join the initiative.
