The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has commended Dr. Ibrahim Bukari, a former employee of Gambaga College of Education, for his courage and stewardship in responding to queries raised against him in the 2024 Auditor-General’s report.
Committee Chairperson, Hon. Abena Osei-Asare, directed Dr. Bukari to appear before the Committee to address concerns over an unserved bond after he travelled to South Africa for further studies.
Explaining his situation, Dr. Bukari noted that his admission came in 2019, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. He said the restrictions at the time compelled him to remain in Ghana, where he continued teaching while pursuing the programme virtually.
The Committee praised his forthrightness in clarifying the matter, describing his conduct as an example of accountability in public service.
