Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has expressed profound gratitude after receiving dual honours during traditional festivals in the Volta Region on Wednesday.

She was first enstooled as Mama Adjagba I of Kedzi during the 2026 Norvikporgbe Za Festival, and later installed as Mama Tortsogbe I of Sokpoe at the 40th Tortsogbeza Festival.

Speaking after the ceremonies, the Vice President described the recognition as a reflection of Ghana’s enduring cultural heritage and the importance of preserving tradition in ways that contribute meaningfully to national development. She reaffirmed her commitment to the responsibilities associated with the titles, calling for the support of the people of Kedzi and Sokpoe to advance shared growth, opportunity, and progress.

Vice President Opoku-Agyemang also congratulated the chiefs and people of both communities for their vibrant and successful celebrations, noting that the festivals stand as a testament to Ghana’s rich cultural identity.
