President Mahama Co-Chairs Global One Health Summit with President Macron

 Reset Initiative founder and former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, is co-chairing the High-Level segment of the global One Health Summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron. The summit convenes world leaders, health ministers, and international experts to strengthen health systems, promote sustainable food production, and coordinate responses to global health challenges.

President Mahama is scheduled to deliver two keynote addresses. His first will be during a session on Global Health Architecture, co-chaired by President Macron and World Health Organization Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. This address will focus on reforms to global health initiatives and the endorsement of a Political Declaration aimed at enhancing international cooperation in health.

His second keynote will open the High-Level segment for heads of state and government. In this address, President Mahama will outline Ghana’s vision and commitments on global health security, emphasizing the country’s leadership in fostering collaborative, cross-sectoral solutions to emerging health threats.

The summit underscores the growing importance of integrated approaches to health, recognizing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. President Mahama’s participation highlights Ghana’s active role in shaping global health policy and advancing collective action against future pandemics and systemic health risks.
