ECG Works to Restore Power After Heavy Downpour

 The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced ongoing efforts to restore electricity supply to parts of Accra and Tema following a heavy rainstorm on Sunday, March 29, 2026. The downpour disrupted service across 57 feeders, of which 38 have since been restored, leaving 19 still outstanding.

In a public notice, ECG assured customers that engineers are working around the clock to resolve the outages. Areas yet to be restored include Nmaiorm, parts of Ashaley Botwe, Lakeside Estates, Lartebiokorshie, Zongo Junction, Parakuo Estate, Pure Fire, BOG Warehouse, Papaya, Adabraka, South Industrial Area, East Legon, Russia, Zamrama Line, Sukura, Ayawaso, Olebu, Ashuman, Dansoman, North Kaneshie, Gandour Cosmetics, Sintex, and surrounding communities.

The company urged customers experiencing localized outages to contact the ECG Contact Centre on 0302611611, report to the nearest ECG office, lodge complaints via the ECG PowerApp, or reach ECG through its official social media handles (@ECGghOfficial on Facebook, X, and Instagram).

ECG apologized for the inconvenience caused and expressed appreciation for customers’ patience as restoration works continue.
