NPP to Outdoor 2026 Presidential Candidate on Saturday

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will officially declare the results of its 2026 presidential primaries this Saturday, 31st January, at a ceremony scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM sharp at the party’s national headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra.

According to party communication, the event will feature three key activities: the formal announcement of the primary results, the outdooring of the newly elected presidential candidate, and an address by the candidate to party faithful and the nation.

The NPP, which prides itself on the motto “Development in Freedom,” is expected to draw a large crowd of supporters, party executives, and media personnel to the headquarters for the occasion.

The declaration marks a significant milestone in the party’s preparations ahead of the December 2026 general elections. The newly elected flagbearer will be tasked with leading the party’s campaign and articulating its vision for governance.

Party officials have urged members and sympathisers to arrive early and participate fully in the ceremony, which will also be streamed across the party’s social media platforms.

The NPP has traditionally used such events to rally its base and showcase unity ahead of national contests. Saturday’s programme is expected to set the tone for the party’s campaign machinery in the months ahead.
