YEA Partners Northshore Apparel to Recruit 1,000 Youth in Northern Region

The Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), accompanied by the Deputy CEO in charge of Operations, Mr. Abubakari Saana Abdul Kudus, and Directors of the Agency, has toured the facilities of Northshore Apparel Ghana as part of efforts to expand job opportunities for young people.

The team inspected the factory’s operations, training processes, and the quality of work being undertaken to prepare young people for employment in the garment and apparel industry.

Following engagements with management, the CEO announced YEA’s commitment to recruit 1,000 young people for Northshore Apparel Ghana. The recruits will undergo training and subsequently be employed, in line with government’s drive to create decent and sustainable jobs, particularly in the Northern Region.

The initiative underscores YEA’s strong belief in practical partnerships that deliver measurable impact. By working closely with credible private sector players, the Agency aims to move youth employment beyond policy intentions to tangible opportunities that transform lives.

This intervention is expected to boost industrial growth in the garment sector while providing young people with skills and livelihoods that contribute to Ghana’s broader economic development agenda.
