The United States Embassy in Ghana has announced the availability of more than 2,000 non-immigrant visa appointment slots over the next two weeks, offering relief to travelers seeking earlier interview dates.
The appointments cover B1/B2 visa categories, which include business trips, family visits, tourism, and travel to international events such as the World Cup. The Embassy encouraged applicants with later bookings to reschedule to take advantage of the newly opened slots.
In a public statement, the Embassy highlighted its commitment to improving access and reducing wait times for visa applicants. The announcement comes amid growing demand for U.S. travel, with many Ghanaians seeking opportunities for business, leisure, and family reunification abroad.

Officials advised applicants to visit the Embassy’s visa information portal for full details on rescheduling procedures and requirements. The Embassy also reiterated its call for travelers to plan ahead and ensure they meet all documentation and eligibility criteria before booking appointments.
The move has been welcomed by prospective travelers, who say the expanded availability will ease the burden of long waiting periods and provide greater flexibility in planning trips to the United States.
