TTU Management Refutes Claims of Campus Unrest

Management of Takoradi Technical University (TTU) has firmly dismissed recent media reports suggesting unrest on campus involving students and personnel of the Ghana Police Service.

In a press release signed by the Registrar, Dr. Moses Maclean Abnory, the university described the reports as misleading and unfounded, stressing that no such disturbances have occurred at TTU.

“The university remains a haven of peace, academic excellence, and community engagement,” the statement read. “We are committed to maintaining a secure and conducive environment for teaching, learning, and research.”

The release further emphasized TTU’s collaboration with its Directorate of Public Affairs and other stakeholders to ensure accurate information reaches the public. Management urged media outlets to verify facts before publication to avoid unnecessary panic and reputational damage.

TTU, one of Ghana’s leading technical institutions, continues to uphold its mandate of training skilled professionals and contributing to national development.

The university encouraged students, staff, and the general public to disregard the false reports and remain focused on the institution’s core mission.
