Parliament today welcomed Mohammed Baba Jamal Ahmed as the newly sworn-in Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso East Constituency.
At the commencement of proceedings, the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, led Hon. Baba Jamal through the oath of office and oath of allegiance before ushering him to his seat in the chamber.
The Speaker presented the new MP with copies of the Constitution and Standing Orders, describing them as essential tools for his legislative work. He further urged Hon. Baba Jamal to remain accountable to the people of Ayawaso East, stressing that he would personally monitor his performance on the floor of Parliament.
Leadership of both the Majority and Minority caucuses extended warm congratulations, encouraging him to serve diligently and uphold the interests of his constituents and the nation.
