Regional Minister’s Office Refutes Misleading Video Circulation

The Office of the Greater Accra Regional Minister has strongly refuted claims arising from a truncated video clip currently circulating on social media, describing it as malicious misinformation and a deliberate attempt to mislead the public.

In a statement signed by Arnold Darlington Nikoi Kotey, Head of Communications, the Office clarified that the footage in question is archival, originating from the Ablekuma North elections, and has been misrepresented as recent. “Reintroducing this material into current public discourse without context is a deliberate attempt to mislead citizens,” the statement emphasized.

The Office further dismissed allegations linking the Regional Minister to the distribution of ice chests, stressing that neither the Minister nor her office has any involvement in such activities. It reiterated that the Minister’s focus remains on regional development and coordination.

Condemning what it described as a calculated campaign by political adversaries, the Office urged the public to exercise discernment and reject attempts at deception through selective editing and misrepresentation.

The statement concluded with a warning that legal action would be pursued against any party that continues to circulate defamatory content intended to malign the Minister’s reputation.
