Prez.Mahama Hosts UAE Delegation, Explores Energy Investment Opportunities

President John Dramani Mahama yesterday received a high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), led by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of State in the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the Jubilee House in Accra.

The meeting underscored the deepening ties between Ghana and the UAE, providing a platform to explore avenues for increased cooperation in investment, particularly within Ghana’s energy sector. Discussions focused on harnessing UAE’s expertise and resources to support Ghana’s energy transition and expand infrastructure that will drive sustainable growth.

President Mahama welcomed the delegation, noting that the engagement reflects the longstanding friendship and partnership between the two countries. He emphasized Ghana’s readiness to attract strategic investments that align with national priorities in energy, industry, and technology.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expressed optimism about the prospects for collaboration. He highlighted the UAE’s interest in supporting Ghana’s energy initiatives, which he described as critical to advancing economic development and regional integration.

The visit forms part of ongoing efforts by the Mahama administration to deepen international partnerships and secure investments that will bolster Ghana’s energy security and accelerate industrial transformation.
