Prez. Mahama Arrives in Lyon for One Health Summit

President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Lyon, France, to participate in the One Health Summit, a high-level gathering of world leaders, health ministers, and global health experts. The summit, which opens on Tuesday, will be co-chaired by President Mahama and French President Emmanuel Macron.

The Ghanaian leader was warmly received on Easter Monday by a group of Ghanaian families living in Lyon, who turned out to welcome him and share in the moment.

Following the summit in Lyon, President Mahama is expected to travel to Paris for a bilateral meeting with President Macron at the Élysée Palace. The discussions are anticipated to focus on strengthening cooperation between Ghana and France, particularly in the areas of health, development, and international partnerships.

The One Health Summit brings together global stakeholders to deliberate on integrated approaches to human, animal, and environmental health, underscoring the importance of collaboration in tackling emerging health challenges worldwide.
