One Million Coders Programme Moves to Phase Two with Constituency Training Centres

The Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations has presented laptops to all Regional Ministers and Members of Parliament for deployment at constituency-level training centres, marking a major milestone in preparations for Phase Two of the One Million Coders Programme (OMCP).

The nationwide distribution is aimed at ensuring constituency-level ownership and effective delivery of training as government finalises arrangements for the next phase of its flagship digital skills initiative.

Set to commence soon in selected constituencies across the country, the OMCP seeks to provide digital skills to one million Ghanaian youth, equipping them with the tools needed to thrive in the digital economy.

With Regional Ministers now equipped to support the rollout, Phase Two training centres are expected to become operational for the nationwide launch. The Ministry emphasised that the initiative is designed to expand access to digital opportunities, foster innovation, and strengthen Ghana’s position in the global technology space.
