The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has scheduled Friday, October 10, 2025, for the balloting of positions for its upcoming January 31st Presidential Primary.
In a letter dated October 7, 2025, and signed by Mr. William Yamoah, Secretary to the Presidential Elections Committee, the party extended invitations to aspirants to participate in the exercise, which will determine their placement on the ballot paper for the crucial primary.
The balloting is expected to take place at the party’s national headquarters at Asylum Down, Accra, starting at 11:00 a.m.
The invitation, copied to the General Secretary, Acting National Chairman, and the Chairman of the Presidential Elections Committee, requested confirmation of attendance from all aspirants.
The distribution list of the letter includes Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum — the five aspirants cleared by the vetting committee to contest the upcoming presidential primary.
The exercise forms part of the NPP’s preparations toward electing a flagbearer for the 2025 general elections, in line with the party’s democratic traditions.
The Presidential Elections Committee expressed appreciation to the aspirants for their cooperation and commitment to the party’s internal democratic processes.
