NPP is a self- centered political party- Nazir Iddris

Director of research for Ayawaso East of National Democratic Congress Mr. Nazir Iddris, has described the New Patriotic Party as a self-centered political party, who do not have the interest of Ghanaians at heart.

He made this statement on Baina tv’s morning show, Tsarin Safiya ealier today during the political segment.

According to Mr. Nazir, members of the New Patriotic Party are selfish people who are solely concerned about their own desires and interest.

His comment comes as a result of the stress many Ghanaians are going through to get their Ghana Card in order to register their sim cards.

He added that, whenever a ruling party decides to do something and you see them putting much effort, they are doing that just for their own benefit and not for Ghanaians.

Mr. Nazir also added that about 8,320 people have not yet received their Ghana cards, lamenting that only 15million people are able to register their sim cards.

“What happens to the remaining people who are yet to register? What happens to the telecos if these people get their sim card blocked?” He asked.

Mr. Nazir also argued that, the idea of taking 5 cedis from the ordinary Ghanaian for self registration of their sim card is a scam.

‘’ It’s just a way to milk the ordinary citizens.Who are these app developers’’ he suggested.

However, Mr. Ibrahim Umar, communication member for NPP said the NDC are just trying to instigate the citizens against registering of the Ghana card because they know how important the card is for Ghanaians.

He also acknowledge the fact that there are some challenges and technical errors, but despite all these challenges, the government is trying to make things easy for Ghanaians, by developing an app for self registration.

”I do agree to the fact that there are some challenges however, despite all these challenges, the government tried to find a solution to this by introducing a mobile app’’ he said on Baina tv.
