NDC Seeks Urgent Talks with Electoral Commission Over Voter Exhibition Discrepancies

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has sounded the alarm over irregularities in the voter exhibition exercise, seeking an immediate meeting with the Electoral Commission (EC) to resolve the issues and ensure the integrity of the electoral process.

The main opposition party has called a meeting to address grave concerns over significant discrepancies uncovered during the 2024 voter exhibition exercise.

According to a statement issued by General Secretary Fifi Kwetey, the anomalies were identified through a thorough analysis of the Provisional Voter Register (PVR) provided by the Commission and the registers displayed at the exhibition centers.

“We bring you greetings from the NDC Party Headquarters, Accra and trust that this letter finds you well.

“We write to request an important emergency meeting with you and your team to discuss very serious discrepancies discovered during the ongoing 2024 voter exhibition exercise. The discrepancies emanate from analysis of the Provisional Voter Register (PVR) given to us by the Commission, and registers being exhibited at the centers.

“We anticipate a favorable and timely response as we work towards free, fair and transparent elections,” the statement said.
