The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has announced the arrest of three individuals alleged to be connected to Dutch fugitive Jos Leijdekker, popularly known as “Bolle Jos.”
The suspects are accused of representing and facilitating the activities of the notorious trafficker in Ghana. Their arrests follow intelligence shared by French customs, which recently intercepted a cocaine shipment reportedly tied to the wider network.
Suspects in Custody
NACOC confirmed that the three suspects are currently in custody and assisting investigators to determine their roles in the trafficking operation.
Ghana’s Commitment Against Drug Trafficking
The Commission emphasized that Ghana will not serve as a safe haven, transit point, or operational base for international drug-trafficking organisations. Officials pledged continued collaboration with both domestic and international law-enforcement partners to disrupt the drug trade, targeting the people, finances, and infrastructure sustaining it.
NACOC also underscored its commitment to safeguarding the rights and legal protections of all persons under investigation.

The arrests highlight Ghana’s growing cooperation with international partners in combating transnational crime. The case involving Bolle Jos demonstrates the importance of intelligence-sharing and coordinated enforcement in tackling cocaine trafficking across borders.
