The Western Regional Police Command has apprehended a suspect linked to a violent robbery at a gold buying shop in Mpohor, Western Region. The incident occurred on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
According to police reports, a group of armed men stormed the premises, making away with an undisclosed sum of money. The attack left one individual injured, who is currently receiving medical treatment and reported to be in stable condition.
The arrested suspect is assisting police with ongoing investigations. Meanwhile, security agencies have launched a manhunt for the remaining members of the gang believed to be on the run.
Superintendent Olivia Adiku, Head of Public Affairs for the Western Region, assured the public that law enforcement is committed to bringing all perpetrators to justice.
