Presidential hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong, has secured the first position on the ballot paper for the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries.
The governing party conducted the ballot draw on Friday, October 10, at its national headquarters in Accra, to determine the order of candidates on the ballot ahead of the much-anticipated contest later this month.
The former Member of Parliament for Assin Central picked the number one slot during the exercise, which was overseen by the party’s elections committee.
The final order of candidates on the ballot is as follows:
- Kennedy Agyapong
- Bryan Acheampong
- Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
- Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum
- Kwabena Agyepong
Reacting to the outcome, spokesperson for the Kennedy Agyapong campaign, Kwasi Kwarteng, described the first slot as a sign of victory for their candidate.
