The Hajj Board of Ghana has indicated that preparations are far advanced for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
Speaking at a meeting with Hajj agents on Monday, 6 June 2022, the chairman of the Hajj Board, Sheikh I. C Quaye said the Government of Ghana has dedicated a token of $3.9 million to the Hajj board to support this year’s Hajj activities.
The Hajj Board also announced that prospective Ghanaian Hajj pilgrims this year will be required to pay a total of ¢39,000.
He also indicated that Ghanaian pilgrims who kept their deposits with the Board since 2020 and didn’t opt for a refund will be required to only ¢26,500.
This means that they will pay an additional ¢7000 plus their deposit of ¢17,500.
Chairman of Hajj Agents, Alhaji Alhassan Yakubu spoke to Dakin Labarai on Baina Tv after the meeting.
