The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Abeiku Santana, has lauded Nigerian musician and entrepreneur Mr Eazi for committing $2 million towards the establishment of a 3,000-seat event centre in Accra.
The planned facility will feature both indoor and outdoor spaces designed to bolster Ghana’s entertainment and events infrastructure.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Abeiku Santana welcomed the initiative and disclosed that preliminary discussions were already underway.
“We have reached out to Eazi, my brother, and we’re grateful to him for the call… watch out,” he wrote.
Mr Eazi revealed the investment plan during his performance at the Detty Rave concert in Accra on December 28, 2025, where he urged the GTA to allocate land for the project.
He emphasized the importance of purpose-built venues to accommodate large-scale events and to further strengthen Ghana’s creative and entertainment sector.
The huge attendance at the Detty Rave festival underscored the rising demand for modern event spaces in Accra, reinforcing appeals for greater private-sector participation in entertainment infrastructure.
The proposed centre is expected to position Ghana more prominently as a hub for music, festivals, and cultural tourism across West Africa.
