In response to escalating security concerns in the Middle East, the Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Kuwait has issued an urgent advisory to Ghanaian nationals residing in Kuwait and Iraq. The announcement, dated March 16, calls for calm while offering consular support to those considering evacuation.

The Embassy emphasized its commitment to the safety and welfare of Ghanaian citizens, stating that it is “closely monitoring developments” in the region. Nationals who wish to leave Kuwait or Iraq are encouraged to contact the Embassy for assistance with visa procedures and logistical planning.
A key option being explored is evacuation by road through Saudi Arabia, where travelers may secure flights to Ghana or other destinations. The Embassy provided two direct contact numbers for coordination: +965 66 162 728 and +965 51 502 793.
In its statement, the Embassy urged citizens to remain calm, stay informed through official channels, and adhere to security advisories issued by local authorities and the diplomatic mission.
Further updates are expected as the situation evolves. The Embassy reaffirmed its readiness to assist and encouraged all Ghanaian nationals in the affected areas to reach out promptly.
