Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntak Mubarak, has held a high-level bilateral meeting with his Saudi counterpart, His Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, aimed at strengthening security cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting, which took place today in Riyadh, was marked by a warm reception from the Saudi Minister, setting a cordial and constructive tone for the discussions. Hon. Mubarak expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended, noting that it reflected the spirit of friendship and mutual respect between Ghana and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in key areas of national and regional security, including law enforcement, counter-terrorism, intelligence sharing, and capacity building. Both ministers acknowledged the growing complexity of global security threats and emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to address emerging challenges.
“This engagement underscores our shared commitment to deepening bilateral relations and building resilient institutions capable of safeguarding our peoples,” Hon. Mubarak stated.
The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge to foster enduring ties and explore further avenues of cooperation that would benefit both countries. The Ghanaian delegation is expected to continue engagements with other Saudi officials during the visit.
