Ga West Council of Zongo Chiefs Celebrates 4th Anniversary

The Ga West Council of Zongo Chiefs held its 4th anniversary celebration under the leadership of its chairman Sarki Muhammad Al-Halipha Haidara, who doubles as Zongo chief for the Amasaman Community on Saturday 26th November 2022.

The Ga West Council of Zongo Chiefs organized a grand Durbar at the forecourt of Amasaman Chief palace to climax the Occasion.

The durbar, was moderated by Nii Amasa Oseiku II Amasaman Mantse and also saw the attendance of high profile dignitaries, such as the National Chief Imam of Ghana, Dr. Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, Honourable Clement Nii Lamptey Wikilson (MCE for Amasaman), Chief Alhaji Sidique Jimala, Acting Chairman Council of Zongo Chiefs, Alhaji Yahya Kassim, Hon Sedem Afenyo, Assembly members, Queen mothers and Inspector J. Y Kumah, who also represented the District police commander, to mention a few.

The anniversary was used as a platform to educate the public on what Islam says about Girl child Education and its importance.

The theme for the Anniversary “Girl Child Education, The Islamic Perspective”

In his speech, The Chairman of the Ga West Council of Zongo chiefs mentioned some of the council’s achievements and their long term vision.
The Municipal chief Executive and some other dignitaries added their voices by emphasizing on the importance of Girl child education and also pledged to support the council to achieve its goals
