The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has conferred with the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Her Excellency Selma Malika Haddadi, on the sidelines of the 48th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union.
The engagement, held in Addis Ababa, formed part of Ghana’s active participation in the ongoing AU meetings, which bring together Ministers of Foreign Affairs from across the continent to deliberate on key issues of regional integration, peace, and development.
Hon. Ablakwa’s discussions with the AU Deputy Chairperson centred on strengthening collaboration between Ghana and the Commission, as well as advancing Africa’s collective agenda at the continental level.
The 48th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council precedes the Assembly of Heads of State and Government, where major decisions shaping Africa’s future are expected to be taken.
