In a swift administrative shake-up, the Director General of the National Service Authority, Felix Gyamfi has been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance with immediate effect. He will be succeeded by Ruth Dela Seddoh, who now assumes leadership of the Authority.
The announcement, confirmed on Monday, has stirred public interest, particularly due to the absence of any official explanation from government sources regarding the reason for the sudden change.
As of Monday afternoon, no formal statement had been issued to clarify the circumstances surrounding Mr. Gyamfi’s reassignment or the rationale behind Ms. Seddoh’s appointment.
Mr. Gyamfi, who has served as Director General since his appointment, is credited with overseeing key reforms aimed at improving the efficiency and transparency of the National Service Scheme. His new role at the Ministry of Finance is expected to leverage his experience in public administration, though details of his portfolio remain undisclosed.
Ruth Dela Seddoh, his successor, brings a wealth of experience in public service and is expected to continue the Authority’s mandate of deploying graduates across the country to support national development.
Further updates are anticipated as the government addresses the leadership transition and outlines its vision for the future of the National Service Authority.
