Ghana’s Electoral Commission (EC) is gearing up for a transparent and credible electoral process. To keep citizens informed, the EC will provide regular media briefings on Election Day, December 7th, 2024.
These briefings, scheduled for 9:00 am, 12:00 noon, 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm, will offer timely updates on the electoral process. Additional briefings will be held from 9:00 pm onwards as results come in from various regions.
Each session will be concise, lasting no more than 30 minutes.
The EC has invited accredited media personnel to cover these briefings, which will also serve as a platform for the Commission to address any concerns or reports from around the country.
Samuel Tettey, Deputy EC Chairman, Operations, emphasized the importance of verifying election-related reports with the Commission to prevent the spread of misinformation.
He assured the public that the EC remains committed to delivering fair, transparent, and peaceful elections.
For any clarifications, the public can reach the Commission on its toll-free number: 0800 324 324. With these measures in place, Ghana is poised for a successful and credible electoral process.
