Col Damoah’s good fortune ends as letter reveals his contract expired 13 October 2021

Commissioner of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority Col Kwadwo Damoah (Rtd) seems to have come to the end of his tenure as President Akufo-Addo has directed him to hand over to acting Deputy Commissioner (Preventive Service), Mr. Seidu Iddrisu Iddisah.

Mr Seidu Iddrisu Iddisah was to have started acting in the stead of Col Damoah from 26 August 2022.

This was contained in a letter that has popped up on Social media dated 26 August 2022 issued and signed by Secretary to the President Nana Asante Bediatuo.

According to the letter, Col Damoah’s contract of service as Commissioner (Customs Division) of the Ghana Revenue Authority expired on 13 October 2021.

It is unclear why he has remained at post despite the expiration of this contract until 26 August 2022.

Col Damoah’s good fortune seems to have been hampered by a recent outburst directed at the Special Prosecutor Kissi Adjabeng over the Labianca affair.
