The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG), has declared a nationwide strike effective Monday, March 9, 2026, following unresolved issues raised in a prior notice of industrial action.
In an official statement dated March 5, 2026, and signed by Executive Secretary Isaac Bampoe Addo, the Association directed all civil and local government staff to stay at home until further notice. The announcement follows a February 19 declaration by the National Executive Council (NEC) of CLOGSAG, signaling the intent to proceed with industrial action.

The notice, addressed to key government offices and regional secretariats, emphasized unity and equal rights, rallying members with the chant “TSOO BOI!” repeated three times.
CLOGSAG has not disclosed the specific issues prompting the strike, but the move is expected to impact operations across various government departments and agencies.
Government officials are yet to respond publicly to the latest development. Meanwhile, citizens are advised to anticipate service disruptions and seek alternative channels where possible.
