Outgoing Black Stars coach Carlos Queiroz has penned a heartfelt message to Ghana, reflecting on his tenure and urging a renewed commitment to building the future of the national team both on and off the pitch.
In a social media post, Queiroz wrote: “Football, like life, teaches us one timeless lesson: you either win or you learn. I leave this journey with pride in what we achieved, but also with the healthy dissatisfaction of those who always wanted more.”
He emphasized that success for the Black Stars must begin beyond the pitch, through the creation of an environment that nurtures, protects, and develops Ghana’s extraordinary football talent. Queiroz expressed gratitude to the Ghana Football Association, the President and Board, his players and staff, and the fans, noting that while complete sporting satisfaction was elusive, the team had restored respect and credibility on football’s greatest stage.
“Thank you, Ghana. The journey starts now,” he concluded, signaling both closure and a call to ambition for the future.
