The campaign team of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has announced the commencement of his nationwide campaign tour ahead of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries.
A statement issued by the Bawumia Campaign on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, said the tour will officially begin on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, and cover all 276 constituencies across the country.
According to the statement, the campaign will adopt a grassroots-focused approach, allowing Dr. Bawumia to engage directly with Polling Station Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators, Constituency Executives (both current and former), Members of Parliament, former MMDCEs, Patrons, and Council of Elders.
The release explained that the initiative underscores Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to listening, building consensus, and strengthening the NPP’s foundation from the ground up.“Dr. Bawumia looks forward to sharing his vision and collectively working towards a resounding victory for the NPP in the 2028 general elections,” the statement said.
The campaign team further reiterated its call for issues-based engagement and civil discourse, emphasizing the need for decency in political debate.
“The Bawumia Campaign acknowledges the vibrant and enthusiastic discussions characterizing the NPP presidential primaries. This energy is a testament to the strength and democratic spirit of our great party,” the statement noted.
However, the team expressed concern over the recent trend of personal insults, unsubstantiated attacks, and the denigration of individuals, urging party members to uphold the NPP’s values of unity, respect, and decency.
Dr. Bawumia’s nationwide tour is expected to energize the party’s grassroots base as the NPP gears up for what promises to be a highly competitive presidential primary.
