Honourable Isaac Adongo challenges the credibility of the data used by the Vice President in his State of the Economy address.

An economic lecture on the recent state of Ghana was carried out at Kumasi on the major campus of Akenten Appiah Menkah University of Entrepreneurial and Skills Development (AAMUSTED).

The member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central lectured the patrons of the National Democratic Congress students union known as TEIN.

In reaction to Vice President’s Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s State of the Economy address at a TESCON event in the Central region last week, Mr Adongo said for the first time the vice president was

speaking on the economy without a topic and the MP could not comprehend why the economy they praise as resilient some few times back is now embattled with just a month of Russia and Ukraine crisis.

Mr Adongo alleged that the data used by the Vice President was cooked from the office of the Finance Minister and so he will not rely on that but will use data from the IMF.
