Gender Ministry Warns Public Against Fake Family Support Allowance Scheme

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has issued a strong warning to the public to disregard a fraudulent message circulating online about a supposed National Family Support Allowance.

The message, which falsely claims that the Ministry is offering GHC 1,350 over three months under the directive of President John Dramani Mahama and Minister Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has been described by the Ministry as false and misleading.

In an official disclaimer dated 8th January 2026, the Ministry clarified that no such programme has been launched and that the website link provided in the message is not an official government platform.

“All official social protection programmes are announced through verified government channels,” the statement emphasized, urging the public to avoid clicking on suspicious links or submitting personal information.

The Ministry advised citizens to rely on its official website, www.mogcsp.gov.gh, and verified social media pages for accurate updates on programmes and services.
