The Government of Ghana has issued a formal and strongly worded condemnation of the recent Israeli military assault on the State of Qatar, calling the action “unprovoked” and a “violation of international law.” The statement, released today by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expresses deep concern over the loss of lives and destruction of property resulting from the attack.
In the official communiqué, Ghana reaffirmed its commitment to global peace and stability, urging all nations to uphold the principles of sovereignty and non-aggression. The government emphasized that such acts of hostility threaten not only regional security but also the broader international order.

President John Dramani Mahama, in solidarity with Qatar’s leadership, extended heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families. The statement also highlighted Ghana’s diplomatic ties with Qatar and reiterated support for His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
“The Government of Ghana stands firmly with the people of Qatar during this difficult time,” the release stated, calling on the international community to take decisive steps to prevent further escalation.
The Ministry’s statement has been circulated to all media houses and bears the official seal of the Republic of Ghana, underscoring the gravity of the situation and Ghana’s position on the matter.
As tensions rise in the Middle East, Ghana joins a growing chorus of nations calling for restraint, dialogue, and respect for international norms.
