Sports and Recreation Minister, Kofi Iddie Adams, has stated that the Ministry isn’t excluded from the Operation Recover All Loots and Operation Prevent Asset Losses (OPAL).
He said this in an interview on the sidelines of the 2025 Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) Elections held on January 23
While addressing the media, the Sports Minister Designate for the love of sports to be regenerated to bring more stakeholders on board to address funding challenges in the sector and added that Ministry won’t be excluded from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led government’s anti-corruption initiatives. ORAL, OPAL operates in every facet of the country. Once we have any information that needs to be looked into, everything will be looked into. Sports is part of the activities that we do in this country and no activity in this country is off the radar of checking for right things to be done so we cannot exclude anything. Nothing is excluded.”
Honourable Kofi Adams is set to officially replace Mustapha Ussif as Minister of Sports and Recreation who oversaw Ghana’s hosting of the 2023 African Games that had Ghana spend $145 million to build the Bortyeman Sports Complex.
