NSA Begins Screening and Medical Examination for Basic Military Training Candidates

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the commencement of screening and medical examinations for National Service Personnel (NSPs) who have expressed interest in participating in the Basic Military Training Programme.

According to a statement issued by the Authority, the screening and medical examination exercise commenced on Monday, November 2, 2026, and will end on Saturday, November 7, 2026.

The NSA explained that the exercise forms part of preparatory arrangements aimed at assessing the eligibility and medical fitness of prospective participants ahead of the start of the Basic Military Training Programme.

“All preselected personnel are therefore advised to take note of the scheduled dates and make the necessary arrangements to participate in the screening and medical examination,” the statement said.

The Authority noted that further details on designated screening centres, reporting times and other requirements would be communicated to applicants through the appropriate channels.

The Basic Military Training Programme is expected to provide participating national service personnel with military orientation and discipline as part of broader efforts to equip young graduates with additional skills and experience.

The NSA wished all prospective participants success in the exercise and urged them to comply with all requirements to ensure a smooth screening process.
