The ministry stated that it would continue to work closely with United States authorities through Ghana’s Permanent Mission in New York to pursue justice and provide the family with the necessary legal and consular assistance.

The government further reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the welfare, dignity and security of Ghanaian citizens abroad.

“Ghana remains steadfast in its unwavering commitment to the safety, dignity and well-being of our citizens everywhere, any time, and in all circumstances,” the statement noted.
