Ghana has officially launched December in GH 2026, inviting visitors from across the world to experience the country’s diverse culture, tourism attractions, music, fashion, cuisine and heritage under the theme, “Ghana to the World.”
The annual tourism and cultural campaign is expected to showcase Ghana’s rich creative and cultural industries while positioning the country as a leading destination for tourism, entertainment and investment during the festive season.
Organisers said this year’s edition will feature a range of activities designed to promote cultural exchange, economic opportunities and national heritage across all 16 regions of the country.
A major highlight of the programme will be the maiden African Festival of Arts, Culture and Creativity (AFESTAC), scheduled for December 9 to 11, 2026. The event is expected to bring together artists, creatives, cultural practitioners and visitors from across Africa and the diaspora to celebrate the continent’s artistic and cultural diversity.
The December in GH initiative will also spotlight Ghana’s vibrant music scene, indigenous fashion, traditional and contemporary arts, local cuisine and handcrafted products, offering visitors a unique experience of the country’s cultural wealth.
Tourists and Ghanaians alike are being encouraged to explore the country’s historical sites, festivals and cultural attractions while supporting local businesses and creative enterprises.
Organisers say the campaign is designed not only to celebrate Ghana’s heritage but also to strengthen connections between the country, the African diaspora and the wider international community.
With an array of cultural, entertainment and tourism activities planned throughout the month, Ghana is positioning itself as a premier destination for end-of-year celebrations and cultural immersion.
“This December, Ghana is calling, and the world is invited,” the organisers said.
