The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has officially announced the approval of forty-two (42) accredited Hajj agents to facilitate the 2027 pilgrimage to Mecca. The announcement, made through a press release signed by Mohammed Amin Lamptey, Director of Communications at PAOG, emphasizes that Ghanaian pilgrims must transact only with these accredited agents to ensure a smooth and legitimate process.
The statement cautioned prospective pilgrims against dealing with unauthorized individuals posing as agents, warning that such engagements could lead to financial loss and disappointment. PAOG further urged pilgrims to make prompt payments of Hajj fares to avoid last-minute inconveniences, stressing that no partial payments will be accepted.
The accredited agents span regions including Greater Accra, Ashanti, Northern, Upper West, and Upper East, with each agency assigned a unique accreditation number and official contact details. The list, released in batches, features agencies such as United Muslim Travel Agency, Al-Balad Travels Limited, Habib Travel Agency, and Duapaye Travel and Tours, among others.
The release underscores PAOG’s commitment to transparency and accountability in the management of Ghana’s Hajj operations, assuring pilgrims of a well-coordinated process ahead of the 2027 pilgrimage.
